District Governor Presents Special Award to Andy Heath
by Melynn Sight
Andy Heath was presented the "Lead the Way" award by
District Governor Larry Dimmitt at our August 21st meeting.
The criteria for the award is fairly simple and straightforward:
--Who in our club is usually the first to volunteer when you have
a new project or activity? In other words, who is the first to
raise their hand and say "I will!"
--Who is the one who often comes up with new ideas for projects
or activities?
--Who is not content to look at a problem and say someone else will solve it?
--In other words, who in your Club is most likely to "Lead the Way?"
Andy joined Rotary in September '03. As a new "Red Badge" member Andy
willingly agreed to be Entertainment Chair for the New Member Banquet. He and
the new members performed a song written by Andy that was creative and
"made" the event. Andy raises his hand for projects all the time, whether it is
helping out as a member of a committee, event, or leading his own project, like
he is doing now as the program chair for the club. Andy jumps in whenever
something needs to be done, and does it with a big grin on his face. Andy's
positive attitude leads the club in the right direction. Andy is well deserving of
this award and has a bright future in our club! Congratulations, Andy!

issues, a death in the family, or other personal difficulties. Our Family of Rotary Chair,
